What is AWANA?
Every Wednesday evening between the months of Sept. and April, kids gather at Bethel Baptist to participate in an evening of challenges. The unique AWANA games will challenge their agility, strength, speed, and ability to think fast and work as a team. Not into athletics so much? Try memorizing Bible verses word perfect - that will challenge your mental capabilities. Each evening includes a challenge from God's Word that will make you stop and think about your life and how you live it.
Our core program includes Cubbies (ages 3 and JK) Sparks (SK - Grade 2) and Truth & Training (Grades 3 - 6). Each club has three exciting segments.
This year AWANA has expanded into our youth ministry, adding programming through High School. Check out the youth page for details.
- Handbook Time, in which clubbers learn Biblical truths in a small group format.
- Game Time, in which clubbers enjoy competing and learning teamwork.
- Council Time, in which clubbers sing, are recognized for awards, and learn the wonderful truths of God in a larger group. Clubbers earn awards for individually learning Scripture and for being part of a team.
