POINTS TO PONDER

the bible

Where did the Bible come from?

From God Himself. God chose various

people to write down what He wanted

them to write.

"All Scripture is God-breathed."

- 2Tim. 3: 16a

"Men spoke from God as they were

carried along by the Holy Spirit."

- 2 Peter 1: 21b

Can we trust what the Bible says?

Yes, God's Word is true and all its promises

will surely be fulfilled.

"Not the smallest letter, not the least

stroke of a pen, will by any means

disappear from the Law until everything

is accomplished."

- Matthew 5: 18b

Why do we need the Bible?

No one can live life to the fullest without

knowing the true Word of God.

"Man does not live on bread alone, but

on every word that comes from the

mouth of God." - Matthew 4:4

How can the Bible help us in

our everyday life?

The Bible teaches us how to live useful and

meaningful lives that are pleasing to God.

"All Scripture is God-breathed and is

useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting

and training in righteousness, so that

the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work."

- 2 Timothy 3: 16, 17

What is the greatest benefit we

can receive from reading the Bible?

The Bible directs us to Jesus Christ through

whom we can receive eternal life.

"These are written that you may believe

that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God,

and that by believing you may have life

in His name. - John 20: 31

For God so loved the world, that He gave His

only begotten Son,

that whosoever believeth

in Him should not perish,

but have

everlasting life.

John 3: 15 - 16

Jesus saith unto him,

I Am The Way,

The Truth, and The Life:

no man cometh

unto the Father, but by Me.

- John 14: 6

for all have sinned,

and come short

of the glory of God;

- Romans 3: 23

- King James Bible
